What did the Jews do after finishing with the hanging of Haman and his children? One Moroccan Jew's Idea

Joseph Lugassy in Casablanca c1940 published a nice small format printed Megillat Esther, with an entertaining illustration on the title page.

The artist shows a group of Jews dancing in a circle around the hanging corpses, perhaps a Hora or some type of Jewish war dance?

  1. There appears to be missing one or two of Haman's children on the tree, depending on if Haman was included in the illustration. Very cute illustration

  2. Being a good friend of Mr.Judaicaused.com Mizrahi, I would like to share the following information with his blog followers. I know that people enjoy his informative & interesting blogposts, & anxiously anticipate his new ones. Sometimes they come raining down, a few posts in a same day, each one being something special. Now it's been almost three weeks, & we're experiencing a drought! I know the reason, & will share it - He has recieved a great deal of books from a bunch of different personal libraries, & he is working hard on posting them, selling them etc. The lesson, if the blog gets quiet, it probably means the store is getting busy, & you should check out his store site. I'm not paid for this ad, I'm simply a friend letting his followers know what's happening behind the scenes. Jacob D

  3. Notice at how haman is depicted to look like hitler. That's worth mentioning.
